Karl Wong is
the founder and managing partner of Lumineer Communications. His
focus includes
a broad range of business and technology areas, specializing in enterprise
and consumer software, group communications and Internet networking.
Lumineer's clients include Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, AOL/Netscape,
Hitachi, Jetform, iVillage/Women.com, Earthlink and Kontiki among
others.
Prior to founding
Lumineer Communications (formerly "etalk communications"),
Mr. Wong was Vice President of Marketing at Infosquare, a leading provider
of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Sr. Director of Product Marketing
at Whistle Communications, an award winning provider of Internet appliance
for the Small-Medium Business (SMB) markets. (later sold to IBM).
Mr. Wong was
also the Director and Principal Analyst of WorldWide Software, at
Gartner Group/Dataquest. At Gartner, he led a team responsible for
research and consulting to industry leaders in the personal computing
and workgroup software markets, including Microsoft, IBM, Novell,
Corel,
Symantec and Autodesk.
Prior to Gartner
Group , Mr. Wong was the Sr. Group Product Manager for User
Agents
Technologies at Lotus Development's messaging group,
cc:Mail. At cc:Mail, Mr. Wong was responsible for the development,
implementation
and marketing of several of Lotus cc:Mail's award winning products, including
cc:Mail for Windows.
Mr. Wong has
over 20 years of experience in the software industry along with
an extensive technical background in PCs and networking gained
through his previous management positions at Businessland, Inc.
(now Siemens).
